Happy Holidays to My Amazing Class!

This holiday season I would like to say "Thank you",  to a class that continually amazes me.  It is my great honor to share the spirit of the season with such a special group of children.  Each day I am reminded of how lucky a teacher I truly am.  Thank you students and families for supporting my efforts throughout this fantastic year.  Your surprising generosity has overwhelmed me.  You have all helped to make this holiday season truly special for me and my loved ones.  For that, you have my deepest gratitude.
I hope that you all have a genuinely happy holidays, savor each moment.  Not to worry, when you return to school next year, rested and ready... there is much excitement in store.
Happy Holidays,
Fitz Crame

Happy Hanukkah! Elliott and Midori Teach Us All

Hanukkah is a very important holiday. It represents that a long time ago there was a war. People lived in a town that was ambushed. They ran into their church and lit up some candles. They soon realized that they only had enough oil to sustain one day, but somehow the oil lasted 8 days. That is the reason that there are 9 candles on the menorah to represent how they thought it would last 1 day but it lasted 8 days. We light one a day for the 8 days during Hanukkah.  Elliott
The middle candle is called "shamash", or helper candle.  It is the first candle lit.  The flame from the shamash is used to light the remaining candles.  Midori

On the first day of Hanukkah Midori and Elliott both received a new t-shirt.
